Microscopy is a

Genuine dormant spore material, for taxonomy, identification and microscopy work. It is deliberately kept apart from the bags, because it is a different product sold under a different set of rules.

Everything in the research line is sold strictly for legal microscopy, taxonomy, identification, research and educational use. It is not sold for cultivation, production or consumption, and we do not give cultivation advice on it.

We do not ship the research line to California, Idaho, Georgia or Florida. Orders to those states are refused and refunded in full.
What this line is
Dormant spore material and the bits you need to look at it properly. Spores carry the genetic record of a lineage, which is what makes them the thing you actually want under a microscope.
Everything is supplied as a specimen, described by lineage and morphology, and nothing more.
What this line is not
It is not a kit. There is nothing to stand on a shelf, nothing to wait for and nothing that grows. If you came here for mushrooms to eat, the bags are what you want and they are on the shop page.
We do not sell live culture, colonised plates or grain under this line.

Kept deliberately short. A narrow line that is easy to describe honestly beats a long one that needs explaining away.
Spore print
Taken onto sterile foil and sealed. The long-storage format, and the one taxonomists generally prefer to work from.
Slide set
Prepared slides, cover slips and a stain, for anybody setting a scope up for the first time. No biological material included.
